Power Ranger Ninja Storm is like the other power ranger games in which the player gets to control someone from the Power Ranger series and has to fight against bad guys. The levels get tougher with the monsters growing stronger with the finishing of each level. It is more of an arcade game. The game begins by letting the player choose one of the rangers of the Power Ranger series. The player can choose any one of the rangers because one is merely more powerful than the other. The game tries to introduce some tricks. In the game, the enemies may appear from anywhere, from front, above or behind. The development of the game is quite logical. Each stage of the game is finished off with a boss fight. The ranger has to assemble into a robot to beat the boss.
The design of the game is very simple with side scrolling, jump, punch, slash and shooting the enemy. The game play is extremely simple. The player can switch between any of the six rangers at any point of action during the game. Each ranger's unique techniques and special moves allow the players to proceed in the game with its use. The game provides free powerups to the players during Megazord or boss fight.
The controls of the game are very simple. A button - jump, A button + control pad down - drop from ledge, B button - attack, Start button - pause, R button - special attack, L button - block, Select button - switch rangers. The visuals and the graphics of Ninja Storm are decent. The rangers are colourful and well animated. The landscape is repetitive but there is a good use of colour. The game contains few digitised sound effects. The developers have created a spice in the game by presenting different characters. It is a pretty good game with some good graphics. |
