This cartoon game is based on the mystery of the Batwoman, who is she? What are her plans? You'll play the role of the caped crusader as he follows her trail, and tries to find out her identity. Unfortunately, the Penguin has other ideas. The controls are fairly simple with the arrow keys serving as movement. Right and left to move through the area. Up to jump, and down to dodge. Batman throws a hard punch with the tap of the control (ctrl) button. Tapping the ctrl button while jumping will result in Batman performing a flying kick. The last button is spacebar and will trigger the grapple gun, and raise Batman onto a gargoyle.
The game is pretty straight forward, you'll encounter two type of enemies. One is armed with a baseball bat and is a close range fighter, the other thug is armed with a laser rifle that fires a straight beam of energy. You can dodge with a quick press of the down button. The thugs require a few punches or kicks to take out. You'll notice Bombs being dropped in some areas. Don't panic, it can be dodged with the right timing and quick burst of movement. Ledges will suddenly fall from under you, be sure you're prepared to jump at the slightest provocation, but if you do end up falling, don't worry you have three lives.
At the end of road, Penguin awaits like the boss he is. The fight is pretty straight forward, with Penguin firing shots from his umbrella gun. He'll move higher or lower in the screen after you hit him a few times. If he's on the highest ledge, you'll be required to hit him with jump kicks instead of the regular punches. After you defeat Penguin, a nice little cut-scene will open up. I won't spoil it for you, because the game is worth playing just to watch that little Batman/Batwoman scene. |
